The center specializes in education as well as physical rehabilitation of children with damaged musculoskeletal system, severely handicapped development, and impaired intelligence. At the moment, the center accommodates 12 children aged 3 to 18 years of age. Despite the very significant reduction in funds and lack of equipment to meet even the basic needs of children, people working in the center, through compassion and creativity, were able to establish an atmosphere of comfort and goodwill. However, there is still a very palpable need for the following:
- Pediatric wheelchairs, special chairs, walkers and chairs for children with Cerebral Palsy
- Physical therapy equipment
- Spoons, combs, pencils, etc., specifically designed for children with Cerebral Palsy
- Toys that promote development
These are the couple of specialty chairs that the Center has now. They are wooden and extremely uncomfortable, even painful to sit on.
